A man’s attempt to stop his girlfriend from leaving the house after a party has gone wrong

“It appears the couple was walking down the street, when she made some comment about the colour of her jeans and she wanted to walk away,” he said.

“So she grabbed her keys and started to drive away.”

Detective Insp Gorman told the ABC the woman was wearing a dark jacket, a black sweater, black pants and a white top.

“I’m pretty sure she was not in a state of sexual arousal or lust, but she did make some comments about her own clothing,” he added.

“The fact that she was in such a hurry to get to her friend’s house means she was at a point of danger.”

There is a police-related alert for any information on this case.

“Police said the woman drove off but the man was able to catch up with her on foot and arrest her at the intersection of Kannamarie Road and Glenorchy Highway.
